US: caught a 95 pound paddefish in Tennessee

While fishing in his home waters, young angler Gene Armstrong caught a big size paddlefish. The fish was  69.9-inch for 95 lb and according with the Tennessee Wildlife Agency is the new state record.

Armstrong  was fishing from shore and after catching some nice size bass, he he decided to give paddlefishing a try.

Fishing in 70 to 80 feet of water with 20 lb line, Armstrong quickly made contact with the fish and fought it for nearly 45-50 minutes.

This big paddlefiah is the second-largest fish caught by rod-and-reel in this state. It outweighed the Tennessee  state record by 14 pounds, and is shadowed only by a 112-pound blue catfish from the Cumberland River.
