NORWAY: caught an huge size ling

The unofficial world record shore caught ling (molva molva) has been smashed with the capture of this giant 59 lb 8 oz fish.

This huge predator fish was landed by British angler, Phill Hambrook from a deep water mark on the coast of Saltstraumen in Norway.

The fisherman caught this ling using a large fish hookbait and 20 lb Berkley XTS mainline while under the guidance of John Strange from Guided Fishing Norway.

The biggest ling ever caught (and IGFA record) is an incredible 103 lb fish boated off Kvenvaer in Western Norway by angler Wolfgang Gotz back 2012.
