THAILAND: world record great snakehad landed

Angler John Ang Woon Heng was fishing in  Nakohon Ratchasima, Thailand on April 19th when he hooked and caught an huge great snakehead  (Channa micropeltes) . He was fishing with an  Evergreen crank bait  when he had a powerful bite.

 The Thai angler needed only 3 minutes to subdue this 11.79 kilo - 26 lb potential IGFA All-Tackle record, which would beat the existing record by 4 pounds.

 The snakehead fish was released alive after an accurate weight was recorded.
