WORLD RECORD: caught a potential muski record
he caught this huge fish while fishing the famed St. Lawrence River outside of Ontario, Canada.
The muski measured an impressive 133 cm (52.5 inches). The previous record measured just under Stolte’s catch for a total of 132 cm.

UK: caught the new record 70+ pound carp
Tom Doherty, an English fisherman, the past week caught a British-record carp.
He was making his visit to "RH Fisheries", a pay fishery that bills itself as “the premium U.K. venue for big carp.”
Tom had been fishing the over 10 acre private lake for about 3 hours when the monster carp took his bait. After a 25 minute fight, he landed the 70 pound and 4 ounce (32.5 kg) carp that had been nicknamed Big Rig.
If approved, it would be a British record for carp, beating the current record-holder by 2 pounds, 3 ounces.
As soon as word of the catch got out, other anglers began criticizing the catch.
Some claim the carp was hand-raised to its current weight and then placed into the fishery as a record-breaker and therefore can’t be verified as a national record by the Angling Trust.

Xuan needed only 3 minutes to land the hard-fighting barra after it hit the Halco lure she was trolling. If approved, the catch will earn Xuan the new women’s 10 kg (20 lb) line class record, which is currently vacant.
Angler James Seegraves recently caught what could become the new men’s 8 kg (16 lb) tippet class world record for lingcod (Ophiodon elongates) while fly fishing off Seward, Alaska, USA. Seegraves caught the 16.5 kg (36 lb 6 oz) lingcod on August 28th, while fishing about the Interceptor with Capt. Keoni Tamayo.
After the fish ate the custom chartreuse fly, Seegraves needed only 10 minutes to subdue the potential record fish. If approved, the catch will replace the existing record of 15.46 kg (34 lb 1 oz).

NEW ZEALAND: caught a monster brown trout of 41 pound
While fishing in New Zealand Bryce Helms caught this 41 pounds, 16 ounces (18.90 kg) brown trout that just missed the current world record of 42 pounds, one ounce, by only 1.76 ounces.
This huge trout is the second largest brown trout ever caught in the world.
