According with Mads Gerhardsen that works on the 120 feet "MS Kildina", a longline fishing vessel, that operates out Båtsfjord in north Norway, this big Atlantic cod could be with any doubt the biggest ever landed il all world.
The cod was estimated around 180 lb - 80 kilo!!!!
it was the largest we've ever seen, everybody says Gerhardsen. Seems that the unofficial world record of cod caught was 200 lb - 90 kilo , caught the ship in the late 1800s but nothing was confirmed.
