AUSTRALIA: barramundi bites hot in North Australia

According to the Lodge's latest newsletter, visiting groups have been enjoying quality barra fishing with numbers of over metre sized fish encountered.  One group that includes regular Arnhemland visitor Rob Danby, currently visiting the Lodge for 6 nights/5 days, reportedly caught more than 500 barra in their first two days.
The group also experienced some good bluewater action with Spanish mackerel, trevally and queenfish currently on the chew. Some solid black jewies have also been aggressively biting barra lures. Successive groups have been landing 100s of barra and there were several metre-plus barra amongst them. Rick and Lynne Bronson were guests at the Lodge - Rick's solid 107cm barra is the biggest so far landed this month.
