Female Aussie angler India Thompson, at only age 16, caught this giant 267.40 kg - 589 lb 8 oz swordfish while fishing off St. Helens, Tasmania in south Australia.
Even more impressive is that India needed only 45 minutes to best the massive swordfish on tackle. She was using a Penn VS70W as reel on a Fenwick rods and with bait used a mackerel.
If approved, the catch will earn India the new Female Junior World Record, as well as some serious bragging rights.
