Tiff Thompson was fishing the river in Sumpter County, Ga. around 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13 when he landed a 43 pounder, the largest he’s ever seen come out of the Flint on a rod and reel. Thompson started doing some research and talking to friends, and he found out that he had bested the river’s record by about two pounds.
