JAPAN: huge size Bering wolfish caught

An huge Bering wolfish has been caught off the island of Hokkaido, in the Pacific ocean near eastern Russia off the coast of Japan.

This specimen,  caught by Hiroshi Hirasaka, measures about 6 feet, and is one of the largest of its kind ever caught.

Bering wolfish typically only grow up to 40 inch and weigh around 35-40 pounds, at a maximum.
