Young angler Todd Vandergaag was beach fishing when he hooked into something big.
Todd was night fishing with friends near Venice Beach in Florida trying to catch some sharks.
He was using a Duel 12/0 reel spooled with 300 lb braid line, finished off with 125 lb mono for his leader.
Vandergaag reports that the huge shark fought hard for about forty minutes,
They didn't measured exactly the fish, wanting to get it back into the ocean as quickly as possible,but estimated to be around 13 feet.
