Last week, on Sea of Cortez off Baja California's East Cape region was landed a big wahoo. According with Eddie Dalmau of Hotel Palmas de Cortez the big 114 pound - 51 kilos big wahoo was caught just north of the resort near Punta Pescadero aboard the charter boat "Borraccho" captained by Oscar Verdugo.The wahoo was caught while trolling a a ballyhoo; this was one of four wahoo hooked by a team of anglers.
The world record wahoo, accordin with International Game Fish Assn. lists a 184 pound wahoo, caught off Cabo San Lucas in 2005.
