US: caught a giant blue catfish in North Carolina

Top angler Zakk Royce caught this blue catfish certified, weighed and witnessed at 91 pounds!

This huge fish is 2 pounds heavier than the current North Carolina state record. After the photo the catfish was released to fight another day.

Thats how record keeping should be done.

US: caught giant blue catfish in Tennessee

The famous Cumberland River in Tennessee, in the past years, has produced some huge  blue catfish.
This time was Tyler Schmid and Dave Plowman to hook up a big monster cat.

They were fishing on the river in Stewart County when the big catfish hit.

A ten minute battle on 50 pound line ensued, eventually bringing this massive blue to the boat.
The fish was measured in 51 inches with a 37-inch girth, it was by far the largest catfish that Schmid had ever caught. After few photos the catfish was released into the river. The approximate weight should be 90 pounds - 89.5 kg or plus.

Considering the size, it turned out to be fairly close to the 112 pound - 50.7 kg record blue catfish caught from the same river back in 1998.

The mighty Greenland Shark is an huge fish that lives in all  North Atlantic Ocean and can reach the size of 3000 lb / 1350 kg

Seems that the Greenland shark is a deep water shark, living at depths of 1800 meters - 6000 feet or more.

WORLD RECORD: monster size dogttoth tuna caught

Top angler Jon Patten caught this enormous dogtooth tuna (Gymnosarda unicolor) on November 20th that tipped the scales at a whopping 107.5 kg (236 lb 15 oz) - the heaviest specimen ever recorded by the IGFA.

Patten was fishing with IGFA Representative Jason Alexiou off the coast of Tanzania (East Africa) when the huge tuna crushed the live yellowfin tuna Patten was using for bait. After surviving the blistering first run, Patten's skills and strength were both tested for nearly an hour as he fought the brut on 37 kg (80 lb) tackle.

If approved, Patten's catch will earn him the new All-Tackle world record, which currently stands at 104.5 kg (230 lb 6 oz).
