Angler Calvin Carr traveled to Valdez om Alaska, and the trip was worth it. He landed a 264-pound halibut to win the annual fishing tournament the: "Valdez Halibut Derby" and its prize of $15,000
Carr luckily hooked into the fish just minutes before the captain he was with, Dennis Petre, was ready to pull up anchor and head back to the port of Valdez. After landing small fishes, this one took Carr 35 to 40 minutes to land, and bested the second place fish by more than 30 pounds. As for what he’s doing with the money, Calvin said: “I don’t know yet; my mind’s on moose camp right now!"
