While fishing off Poindimié in New Caledonia, anglers Steeve Tojib and Georges Mayet have weighed the largest Black Marlin ever caught in these waters, an 1,135 lbs - 514 kgs.
They needed over 3 hours and 30 minutes to get the fish to the boat on stand-up 130 lbs. tackle. The huge black marlin was caught on a small trailer boat.
