USA: monster record striped bass

Fishing on the boat Bada Bing, Cary Wolfe landed a 74-pound striped bass, which should top the Virginia state record by a pound. The fish, caught off Cape Henry, is pending certification, but was weighed on certified scales at Long Bay Pointe Marina.
Wolfe was fishing with the boat captain, Tim Cannon, and his brother-in-law and first mate Richard White when the fish hit. After a very slow day of only a dogfish, they thought they might have a small tuna.
After a brief battle, they realized they had a good fish, but did not know just how big it is.
