MEXICO: Lake El Salto fishing report

The fishing season has arrived at beautiful Lake El Salto, Mexico. Anglers Inn International has already been entertaining beginning and veteran bass anglers from around the world.
Anglers are reporting anywhere from 50 to 70 fish per day with plenty of quality fish in the mix.

“We have had many anglers report catches of 7 to 9 pound bass,” said Billy Chapman, Jr. “The water levels are a little low for this time of year, which is good for fishing in general. This year is already turning out to be a great one for Anglers Inn International.”
Jim Huson, Fayetteville, Ark., native threw a wacky-rigged Senko, Watermelon Lizard and Rattle Traps to anchor nearly 70 fish by himself in one day. The Anglers Inn International veteran has had close to 25 trips and wouldn’t change a thing.
“I always feel safe with Anglers Inn International,” said Huson. “We are treated great, we catch fish and safety is no concern. That is exactly why I choose Anglers Inn International. They do it like only Billy Chapman, Jr. can. It is perfect. I will keep coming back as long as I can.”
The hot baits for El Salto during the fall to winter months continue to be 8-inch Zoon Lizards, 5-6 inch Senkos, black and blue Skinny Dipper-style swimbaits, crankbaits (Citrus Shad color) and Rat-L-Traps. Not to mention, the topwater bite is starting to turn on .
When it comes to technique and Lake El Salto anything goes, and it doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned angler or weekend angler. Everyone is at home with Anglers Inn International. The guides are tuned into the fish and can point anglers in the right direction.
