Ireland: Atlantic Salmon landed

After a couple of very showery days at the end of May, the Suir rose briefly by about a couple of feet and the salmon fishing improved dramatically for a while. Some very nice fish were caught and duly released during the first 2 weeks of June. The best catch was recorded by a French Angler Guy Bizounours from Clermond Ferrand who caught a lovely 18 lb. fish on the fly. This fish wins our Catch of the Week. All the fish caught in my Fishery during these 2 weeks (11) were above 10 lb weight as the Grilse run seems to be very late this year.Jean Loup Trautner
